My Favorite Holiday Decor Spot In My Home

December 11, 2019

I absolutely love decorating for the holiday season! This year has been even more fun for me as we are back in a colder part of the country and feel that winter spirit because of it. When shopping for home items, I stay true to how I would shop for my clothes: I pick what I love and try to stay within a general color spectrum with plenty of room for pops of color or prints depending on the season.

One of my new favorite decor areas in my apartment is this console table. It has become a spot for me to create a seasonal focal point on an otherwise empty space. I love the gray tint to the wood on this piece. It seamlessly fits in with my other furniture pieces throughout my home and conveniently hides things for me when I’m running around in a flurry before a guest arrives. With most of my other holiday decor being in white and silver, I chose items that matched but added in the buffalo check, evergreen trees in green, white, and silver, and this sweet little red station wagon (I also grabbed a matching truck version for another area of my house). Between Home Goods and Target, my home feels ready for the snowy holidays ahead! Linking as much as I can from Target in case you need a few last minute winter decorations or want to stock up on a few for next year! (I find a LOT in the Deals section at Target including the tin houses, the mini trees, and the white bell I found there last year).
