Winter Essentials I Swear By

January 21, 2022

I am a homebody any time of year, but the second the temperature drops I am hibernating at home. This year, we are fortunate to be in our beautiful new home where we are enjoying cozy nights watching movies by the fireplace snuggled up in blankets with the pugs. No matter where you are, there are a few winter essentials that I swear by that you may want to consider for upgrading your home and lifestyle for the colder temperature months.

Microwavable Bean Bag

I cannot live without mine!! Regardless of the weather outside, I heat this bad boy up every night and fall asleep with the cozy feeling of warmth on my feet or back. During every woman’s favorite time of the month, this is a perfect way to soothe cramps, too! With my current pregnancy, I’m heating this up to help with my back pain in the evenings in addition to using it as a foot warmer when it’s cold out. You won’t regret this one purchase for yourself or as a gift to someone else.

Plush Blanket

I have blankets in every room of my house. Drew and I both love soft blankets and have a bougie attitude about them being only the softest, coziest in order for us to commit to them. The Ralph Lauren Micromink Plush is the answer every time. They have a king-size option that is what Drew refers to as ‘man-sized’; he is a full grown man that can take that blanket and burrito himself in it. Not many blankets come in a size that is capable of that feat. It is washer and dryer safe, too!

DW Home Candles

If you haven’t tried this brand of candles yet, you are missing out! You can find them online on their website, but if you have a Home Goods/TJ Maxx/Marshall’s near you then try checking their candle aisle for a scent to try. These have gorgeous scents that burn cleanly and for longer than nearly any other brand.

Vogue Puzzles

My latest obsession: Vogue cover jigsaw puzzles. I love a good puzzle regardless, but the Vogue option is such a beautiful picture that it’s hard not to enjoy working on putting it together. Plus, these are a great collectible for those who want to spend the money on something that will be worth it in years to come.

Puzzling Table

If you (or your family) enjoy working on puzzles as much as I do, then you should get yourself a puzzle table. Drew found one for me from Etsy a few Christmases ago and I use it constantly. I love that I can work on a puzzle here and there then close it up and fold the table under my bed or the coffee table until I’m ready to work on it again. For someone that likes to be able to have their house ready to entertain at a moment’s notice, this cuts down on finding time to work on the puzzle, cleaning it up, or having valuable table space taken up that could be used for serving a meal.

a puzzle table is genius! I have never even heard of one, but I hate the thought of having to leave my puzzle out in the general area (making a mess), until I’m done with it! I might have to look into one. Great post 🙂 xx

It makes puzzles so much easier all around! I love mine so much and have to give the credit to my husband for finding it!
