I’m not a huge fan of scary movies, but I do love a good mystery! This time of year, I like to find books that feel like my version of ‘spooky’ and this option fits that bill.
‘Party Girls Die in Pearls’ by Plum Sykes
From the author of one of my old favorites, ‘Bergdorf Blondes’, Sykes serves up this stylish murder mystery set at Oxford in 1985 London. The description on Amazon fits the bill: Clueless meets Agatha Christie. If you can get past the fact that our heroine’s name is Ursula (very Little Mermaid), you’ll be in for a glamorous treat as we try to solve the mysterious death of an Oxford classmate. Who do you think did it?
