Take A Sneak Peak Into My Shopping Bag – Fall/Winter

August 19, 2019

No matter what time of year it is, I am always buying for fall! It is by far my favorite season in terms of weather but also for the cute, cozy looks I get to wear. Couture week recently showed Fall/Winter collections, magazines are getting September issues out, and those Back to School sales are still in full swing.

So even though the weather outside isn’t quite that cozy fall temperature just yet, I am buying like it is! It doesn’t hurt that a lot of stores have sale and clearance racks full of coats and boots during the hottest months of the year. Last summer in Texas, I was able to snag my favorite faux fur-trimmed parka for under $40!

Now I’m giving you a peek into my shopping cart to shop with me! Below are the items that I have either recently purchased or any grabbing now. You can shop along with me now to be ready for those cute, cool weather days in the months ahead that feel SO far away at the moment. As always, you can comment with questions or shoot me a DM on Insta with any questions on sizing, fabric, fit, or anything else! I am 5’6 and 135 lbs and will include the sizes I purchased of each item below.

Target All Day

Boy, do I love a Target run! I’ve been going a little crazy buying shoes there lately since the A New Day and Universal Thread collections have been so great. In a prior post, I showed you the pink and the gray mules I have been wearing nonstop, but now I’m going for the leopard print! I’m not big on animal prints but this one is subtle enough that it gives just a kiss of flair to your look. Plus, these mules are a perfect transitional piece from summer into fall as the weather cools down. I’m normally an 8.5 and these run true to size.

Bellatrix only looks sad because I took this pic as I was headed out of the house for work. 🙂

Basic Tanks Perfect For Layering

I have this simple tank from A New Day in nearly every color. It has a good amount of stretch in it so that it is lightweight and fitted making it the perfect layering tank. Under a blazer or sweater, this is a great go-to that transitions well from summer to fall and beyond. The small has been working perfectly for me in every color.

Amazon Obsession

My Amazon shopping has reached new levels of crazy. I have been deep diving down rabbit holes of sweater shopping and I do not regret a minute of it! I have searched through the many many options and returned a few to find just the few that I am recommending to you now. More to come though! Here we go!

Striped Cardigan

I LOVE the great colors in this striped cardigan! I see them as being perfect to transition into fall and throughout the season. The fabric is so soft, too! I have a mild allergy to wool, so I have to limit myself to items without it. However, that works to my advantage in the sense that I am only giving you the softest, coziest sweaters without any worry of itchiness! I snagged a Medium in this one.

Gray and White Colorblock Sweater

If you can’t already tell, I’m in a bit of a striped mood. I like to mix that obsession a little by going with a color block like this cardigan in more neutral colors. This is a piece that will fit into any wardrobe seamlessly. I got a Small in this and am very happy with the fit and quality.

Michael Kors For Less

My favorite purses are by far my Michael Kors. The quality is phenomenal. They last and don’t show the wear that other brands do after carrying them for a year straight (in case you get in that mode of just grabbing for the bag you love for that long). I’ve bought from the Kors stores and site but Amazon also offers their bags for similar or discounted pricing. I was able to find this little crossbody last year and it is my favorite bag to grab for days shopping with girlfriends for its ease and size. Plus, it comes in a million colors that mix and match with any look and will carry you season to season!

Sneaker Game

If you were on the lookout for deals during the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale recently, you may have seen their Adidas running shoe option similar to these. I love having a good pair in my closet in more neutral colors that go with anything. That way I can throw them on with jeans and a tee or with leggings and a cute sweater and tackle the day. If you’ve never treated yourself to a pair of Adidas before, they are worth the money and fit true to size.

Happy shopping, everyone!

Please note: I do have an affiliate partnership with both Amazon and Target. However, I only recommend items that I have tried and love. I do not receive direction from these companies to show their products to you all! I truly feel these pieces are both affordable and perfect for any wardrobe!
