If you have a social media account, you are likely to have noticed that people get a little nuts about the ‘N-sale’ every summer. Well, that is because it is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the entire year and brings us the option to get their higher end brands at a major discount. The best part about what’s on sale? It is NEW. That’s right! While most sales are a retailer trying to offload existing or season’s old merchandise, Nordstrom gets all of their latest summer/fall/winter stock and sets it at these fantastic prices for just a few short weeks. Then they continue to carry those items (or restock them since many of them sell out during the sale) but at their full price.
Today marks the start of their preview. We all get to check out what’s about to be on sale when it gets started here in just a few days! But not so fast. Not everyone gets to shop right away. Here are the dates for when the sale starts for you based on your Nordstrom credit card (and how much you spend each year on it):
If you have a Nordstrom card or sign up for one, you’ll automatically be given ‘Influencer’ status and get to shop that much sooner. Spending more on your card each year will get you higher up the food chain for upcoming sales, but just having a card (like I do) gets you access 2 weeks ahead of everyone else and only 4 days after those with that ‘Icon’ status.
As someone who has shopped the sale for the last few years, I’m happy to see the timeline moved up for when each tier gets access. I highly suggest looking through the preview and saving your top picks to your wish list (create one for free on the Nordstrom site!). That way, whenever your access opens, you can easily add what is in stock to your cart and call it a day.
