2024 Summer Reading List

July 12, 2024

Whether you are poolside, beachside, or couch surfing this summer, these are the books on my summer reading list that you are sure to love!

Lies and Weddings by Kevin Kwan

The new can’t-put-it-down novel from Kevin Kwan, author of Crazy Rich Asians. Within the first few pages of the prologue I was already hooked.

When Women Ran Fifth Avenue by Julie Satow

This is next up on my agenda to read! I’m very excited to dive into this nonfiction of some of the most powerful women behind the biggest department stores in America.

The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post by Allison Pataki

This has been one of my favorite historical fiction reads ever. It was light and easy, but full of historical accuracy as you’re taken through Marjorie Post’s incredible life story. It has inspired me to plan a trip to her Hillwood home that is now a museum full of her treasures, including Faberge eggs and couture.

The Burnout by Sophie Kinsella

Sophie Kinsella has been one of my all-time favorite authors for decades now. I pre-order every books she writes and have loved each and every one. It is like reading your favorite rom-com movie and The Burnout is no exception to that. It will give you all the feels.

The American Adventuress by C.W. Gortner

Winston Churchill may be the name that everyone knows from his incredible and interesting life, but his mother had her own as well. Gortner shows us a fictionalized version of Jennie Churchill’s glittering life as Lady Randolph Churchill.

Paradise Now by William Middleton

This biography of Karl Lagerfeld is one of the very best biographies I have ever read. It was wonderfully detailed and chronicles his entire life from his childhood through his final years.
