Every Sunday, I take time to get my house and life organized for the week ahead. Since I work full-time Monday through Friday, the prep time spent on Sunday helps me to be able to focus during the workday and relax afterwards. If you’re feeling all over the place and need a place to start, try my Sunday refresh routine for a week or two and see what you think!
The to-do’s for your weekly refresh routine:
- Wash the sheets, comforters, blankets, and your other laundry. Be sure to rip the band-aid and actually put it all away when it is clean!
- Dust THEN vacuum
- Meal plan, make your grocery list, and then shop
- Meal prep as needed
- Wipe down your bathroom(s)
- Burn a candle and open windows – If the weather allows for the windows to be open, get fresh air into your space. If burning a candle is something you enjoy, light one for while you’re moving around the house doing the above items.
Other cleaning and to-do’s happen throughout the month or year, but I’ve found that doing these core things every weekend freshens up my home and makes for a much more relaxing week to come. Bonus if you can get some fresh flowers in to liven things up, too!
Save the below on your phone or tablet to get yourself in the habit with me!
