Update: 2020 Goals

January 24, 2020

We’re just over 3 weeks into 2020 already! As the end of January gets closer, it is a good time to sit down and think about the goals you have set for this year. (If you haven’t done some goal-setting for yourself in a while, just remember that New Year’s isn’t the only time you can! See my prior post here for more). Goals are something that should be reviewed often and have checkups until you reach them. Now is a great time to reflect on how often you need to check in on your progress or to set milestones that will get you to your ultimate goal and slap some dates on those milestone markers!

Jane Austen’s Persuasion (Book #2 for this year!)

Personally, I was already able to put a notch on one of my own goals by finishing my first book of the year: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. This is my absolute favorite book (and movie) and my husband got me a gorgeous set of every one of Austen’s novels (below) for Christmas so that I can reread them in style. I am one of those people who loves the feel of a book in their hands and won’t put yet another screen in my face by reading them on a tablet. My 2020 reading goal is 8 books and this gets me 1/8 of the way to that goal!

No matter what your goal(s) may be, make sure you are checking in with yourself to see your progress, celebrate it, and motivate yourself towards the end game.
