Like his prior hit, this novel is set in the luxe world of New York’s Fifth Avenue, the Hamptons, and Capri and follows a woman’s struggle to navigate her love-life. She may be engaged, but a mysterious and infuriating infatuation keeps creeping back into her life. Also, much like ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, Kwan’s main characters are of Asian or Asian-American heritage. His unique ability to blend humor and cultural references makes his novels such a fun, easy read.
