I am so excited to be sharing the process of our home build with you all! We had an amazing weekend starting with a design meeting on Friday to pick out everything for the house! Needless to say, spending a few hours in a design studio was a dream come true. We were surrounded by floor tiles, paint swatches, and hardware samples and I could not have been happier.
So after a few hours with our designer, we have our game plan mapped out for the interior AND exterior of our house. If you have been following me on Pinterest, you know that our design inspiration is ‘modern farmhouse’. Drew is a big fan of modern design and I love having a cozy home with classic elements so this is a perfect meeting of those two for us.
Exterior
We have been driving through neighborhoods and checking out what we loved on Pinterest for a while now. Our design meeting started with the exterior options and we able to show one picture to our designer, who looked at it and said ‘OK I know exactly what you are after for this home then’.
Modeling our home after its inspiration, we chose all white with black accents. The front door, shutters, roofing, and gutters will all be black along with the window lines.
Interior
Moving that inside, all of the hardware on the cabinets and doors along with the faucets and fixtures will be matte black. The rest of our design choices were lighter from lighter hardwoods with a gray tone to light gray walls to white quartz counters.
Since they’re just samples, it can be tough to see the end game, but here is everything that will be in our home!
Guest bathroom(s): white shaker cabinets with black hardware, quartz countertop, and gray wood-look flooring. (Clockwise from top left)

The wall o’ faucets! We will be doing black matte throughout the house.
After all of that was said and done, we had a jam-packed weekend enjoying friends and family and the gorgeous 60+ degree weather. We did manage to make a quick stop by our lot and get a picture that really gave us the warm fuzzies:
The SOLD sign makes it so official and we could not be more thrilled!
