It seemed only fitting that I spend my September reading post talking about the biggest issue of fashion magazines we get all year. In particular, Vogue has made the September issue of their publication the one to beat in terms of both content and size. Each year the cover of this month is a coveted place to land and the interior is packed with ads and content showing the best of fall and winter shopping and trends. This change of seasons is seen in the fashion world as something equivalent to New Years: out with the old and in with the fresh new looks of a brand new season. Given that living in the Midwest means that season ushers in layers, knits, and boots, I’m all in with that mentality. So this month, I am leafing through the pages of fashion’s most anticipated magazine edition: the Vogue September Issue starring Taylor Swift. This year, British Vogue has caused a flurry of attention and interest in its September issue, as well, since its guest editor was none other than the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan.
The fashion-lover and activist took over the issue to promote women and organizations that are ‘Forces For Change’ around the globe. Getting a copy stateside can be challenging since most newsstands don’t carry it, but Amazon and even eBay have buying options if you want to get a read.
Bonus: if you’ve never taken a look through Harper’s Bazaar UK, it has become my absolute favorite magazine in the last year. I look forward to the new issue each month and read it on my iPad so I don’t have to wait for a physical copy.
